Trisha WardTrisha is a prolific writer of both pop songs and musical theatre. Now 37, Trisha started writing songs at the age of fifteen, garnering her first professional commission for a local travel programme in her native North East. At fifteen, after recovering from a major spinal operation, Trisha wrote her musical adaptation of Macbeth, "Nightshriek", which went on to win her a Time Out Critic's Award for Best Musical. Trisha beat "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Les Miserables" to win this award. She then started and ran IMPACT, the first professional theatre company in Cleveland in her native North East. During this time, Trisha wrote "Behold The Man" which was staged then adapted into a film and televised across the ITV network. After moving to London, Trisha was signed up by Warner Bros publishing and wrote two further stage musicals, "Forever Yours" and "Lonely Hearts", both of which were staged to great critical Trisha has recently been working on the feature film and West End Theatre production of her musical adaptation of "Sleeping Beauty". Trisha has written all the music, lyrics and script for the project and has recently written and recorded several new songs for chart release at EMI's Abbey Road Studios which will be included in the score. Coronation Street Musical ProjectTrisha is currently writing the score and lyrics for a major musical theatre project based upon the iconic "Coronation Street". Recording and orchestration of the score for this brand new musical is currently in development with ITV Studios. Trisha has recently signed an exclusive worldwide
publishing agreement with Sony Music UK for
the administration of her work and her individual
stand alone songs are in much demand for licensing. Reviews'Forget Chess, Phantom of the
Opera and even Les Miserables - Nightshriek
was thought to be the musical triumph of the
